Welcome Home

Everyday Center for Spiritual Living  provides spiritual tools to transform our personal lives and help make the world a better place.

Everyday Center for Spiritual Living is a spiritual community that honors all paths to God and can help you experience a personal relationship with God. When God is the focus of our spirituality, then other areas of our lives fall into place – we are happier, we can do more for others, be better stewards of the Earth, and help bring peace and harmony to the world.

If you are in search of a spiritual community where you are respected and accepted for who you are and want the inspiration and support to grow to your highest potential, please accept our invitation to visit us soon!

YIKES! OUR BUILDING WAS SOLD!!!

OMG they sold our building and we have to move!  And soon!!

I got this news about a week before my vacation in Maui and to tell you the truth it knocked me right off my center…. for about 2 days…. What are we going to do?…. Where are we going to go?…… Then I woke up…..

Hi I am Reverend Gayle Dillon and if you had told me twelve years ago I would be the Senior Minister for a growing spiritual community in Santa Fe, NM I would have thought you were nuts and not very grounded in reality. Truth is twelve years ago I was a high functioning drug addict/alcoholic working in corporate America and living in Seattle.  Then in September, 2002 I walked into Center for Spiritual Living – Eastside in Kirkland WA and the experience changed my life. I started taking classes, all the classes, I actually devoured the classes and said “YES” to the new me. I am proud to say my sobriety date is October 19, 2002. I became a Practitioner. I met the love of my life (I mention that because he is our music director now). In 2010 I graduated from the Holmes Institute and opened Everyday Center for Spiritual Living in Santa Fe, NM. Of course there are lots more details to my story, but this isn’t about me.

What are we going to do?!

We’ve only been in our current building for 6 months and fixed it up soooo beautifully and everybody loves it!

Where are we going to go?!

We have already moved 3 times since starting in our living room in Sept 2010 and affordable spaces are really hard to find in Santa Fe!

Then I woke up!!

OMG what an opportunity to play bigger, to have more impact, to walk our talk and not shrink from change.  Then a building fell into our laps almost out of the blue.  I actually looked at this same building 3 years ago but we weren’t ready for each other.  But now we are both single and the sparks are flying! We need each other! The building needs a loving tenant and I want to be of service in a neighborhood just where it sits.  Perfect.

What We Need

Our building is a diamond in the rough and needs some TLC.

That’s where you come in.

Our request is for $15,000. I know it’s a lot of money but we have very big ideas to go with it! All the money raised is going to be used to polish this diamond and create a space that people will want to come to everyday. Our intention is to create a spiritual center that becomes a destination point for people traveling to Santa Fe and a permanent spiritual community for those looking for a place to BE. The building is 8000 square feet and the entire interior needs to be painted. A portion of the funding would be for purchasing paint and paint supplies (we have volunteers to do the painting). New carpet throughout, removing old ugly florescent lights and installing pleasant warm lighting. The bathrooms need stalls (don’t ask, just trust me). We are grateful to have a big kitchen but it needs to be remodeled too (an oven has already been donated!). As we grow we can knock out a couple of walls upstairs and voila! a balcony overlooking the sanctuary (very cool). Like I said its great space but it needs some TLC to shine.

We are taking this move a room at a time. Sanctuary first. ALL funds raised go directly to improvements and improvements only. As a bonus for you, because we are a nonprofit Spiritual Center all donations are tax deductible. For any donation of $50 or more you will receive a letter for your taxes with all the appropriate info included.

The Impact

Everyday Center for Spiritual Living exists to empower people to live joy-filled lives. It’s really that simple, and we do that by teaching among other things the spiritual practices of gratitude, meditation, forgiveness, intention and prayer.

The Center is named Everyday Center for Spiritual Living (ECSL) for a specific reason. Our intention is to be that place where people can gather Everyday. A place they want to be Everyday and a place where people grow and have community. ECSL is meant to be an Everyday experience. The intent of ECSL is to build community, offer pastoral care programs and be an active member of the Santa Fe community through outreach programs. The Center is "out of the box" in its design and feel. When you walk into the Center you enter into a bookstore and coffee house with comfy couches and a place to hang. The stage doubles as a venue for local and touring musicians, open mics, and poetry slams. In addition the bookstore and coffee house will provide us with a financial flow to aid in the support of all the programs we envision providing to our community and to the Santa Fe area. There is a meditation/prayer room where people can drop by throughout the day to pray, to meditate or to just sit with the Divine in silence. There is a room for movement.  To engage body, mind and spirit; be it yoga or tai chi or other forms of exercise that embodies being physical while staying grounded and connected. And many more possibilities. Of course there is the sanctuary for Sunday and weekday services plus events like Spiritual Talk Series, Spiritual Cinema and seminars of all kinds. We envision events that bring our community together and spread the ideas of this philosophy throughout the greater Santa Fe area.  We want people to come to our Center regardless of where they spend their Sundays. Yes we hope through all these offerings people will be drawn to our Sunday Spiritual Gatherings but more importantly is opening up this philosophy to people in entirely new empowering ways.

Other Ways You Can Help

I have NO idea how to make things go viral; maybe I should add a cute cat video. Although we have fabulous perks, sometimes people can only give a minimal amount. What if this campaign went viral on Facebook, Twitter, etc. and everyone gave $1.00 – WOW that would be amazing. So if you could pass this on to all your email lists and post the link on your FB page we will surely meet our goal! It would be GREATLY appreciated.

I wanted to express my thanks for uploading your services on YouTube. Your messages really speak to me and I am unable to attend your services as I live in Southern California. I am eager to follow your messages on Napolean Hill's "Think And Grow Rich" and have purchased both the book and workbook to follow along. Your YouTube outreach, if you call it that, has managed to reach out to where I live both physically and spiritually, so thank you once again. It's a joy to go onto YouTube and see your messages. Namaste'
